We are committed to making God’s glory and sovereignty supreme in every course that is taught. We recognize God not only in worship, but also in algebra. Our mission is a creative summons to educate students by drawing out their intellect, physical skill, and artistic gifts so they and we can say “I know and can believe.” While doing this we live in close, secure relationships with students so they and we can say “We belong.” We are sustained through community in work and worship as we act and speak in the world about our purpose, direction, and continuity.
Our goal is to produce young people who are able to read, write, compute, speak well, and study, while thinking biblically and critically. Our courses are college preparatory. Students may earn either a college preparatory diploma or a general diploma. The academic requirements are demanding. There is no guarantee of passing on to the next grade or of passing any individual course. Students must perform to earn passing grades. Approximately one third of our students make the Honor Roll.
The Cono staff works closely with students to help them find success. Helpful support is available to students who seek it. Initiative is important. Students who lack initiative are provided with structure and support to help them learn to develop it. We nurture intellectual and creative growth in every student.
