Additional Application Requirements
TOEFL Testing Requirements:
A TOEFL Score of 75 (Ibt) is required for admission for students 14 years and younger. A score of 85 is required for 15 and 16 year olds. Please send the TOEFL score to School Code #6452.
Test dates and locations can be found at toefl.org. All students whose main childhood language is not English must submit a test score as part of their admission materials. This includes U.S. citizens.
If You are Accepted as a Student
Steps to Obtain the F-1 Student Visa:
- Electronically wire transfer one semester's fees to Cono if you wish the U.S. embassy to see a receipt for your payment
- Complete and return the International Student Financial Verification Form
- Cono will mail you the following:
- Official Letters of Acceptance
- I-20
- Financial Agreement
(please sign and return)
- A receipt for fees paid.
- Schedule an interview with the U.S. Embassy
When You Receive an F-1 Student Visa
- Contact Cono
- Prepare to Travel to Cono
- Fly to Cedar Rapids, Iowa airport (CID)
- Students should arrive and depart only on Travel Days and always before 9:00 PM
- Non-Travel Day charges: $225.00 provided that prior arrangements are made with the school. Arrangements not made for stated travel days may also be subject to additional charges.
- Please make travel plans several months in advance
- Bring only 2 large suitcases
- Inform the school of your arrival time, airline information and flight numbers
- A round trip ticket for travel is required for each international student
