Financial Aid

Cono does provide a small amount of financial aid to qualifying families. Financial aid determinations are based on three criteria:

  1. Does the family exhibit financial need?
  2. Is the student a new or returning student?
  3. Does a student show promise of a successful school year at Cono?

To Apply for Financial Aid:

  1. Complete the Parent's Financial Statement (PFS) and mail to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) along with their processing fee. The PFS can be obtained by calling the Admissions Office or filed on-line at www.sss.ets.org . Please visit www.nais.org for more information about funding a private education.
  2. Send the following documents to the Admissions Office at Cono:
    • copies of the previous two years' tax returns
    • an itemized family budget for a typical month

Once the Admissions Office has received the above documents and the analysis of the family contribution from SSS, a financial aid decision will be made and communicated by phone and letter.

A new request for aid must be filed each year. For currently enrolled students, no aid will be granted for the next year until all financial obligations due for the current year are met. Financial aid allocations are reviewed on a yearly basis.

A family receiving additional financial aid will be required to make payments that represent their share of tuition and fees. Failure to make timely payments indicates a lack of family commitment and is grounds for loss of financial aid. Students receiving additional financial aid are required to maintain a good attitude and level of effort. Failure to study, refusal to cooperate with the staff, or reluctance to work indicates a lack of student commitment and are reasons for loss of financial aid.
